Adygea and South Tyrol agree to jointly develop tourism and agriculture

Today, Aslan Tkhakushinov, the leader of Adygea, and Johann Berger, Vice-President of the Italian province of South Tyrol, Minister of Agriculture and Tourism, signed a letter of intent, which defined the priority for cooperation in tourism and agriculture.

On October 28, the delegation of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano-South Tyrol (Italy) arrived in Adygea. The delegation includes Johann Berger, Vice-President of the Province, Minister of Agriculture and Tourism, Andreas Werth, Director of the Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Tourism, Andreas Dorfman, Technical Director of Kronplatz, the large ski resort in Italy, and Leo Forcher, the owner of the Company "Forcher", involved in growing of apples.

According to Aslan Tkhakushinov, the leader of Adygea, the signed agreements on twinning relationship should help in solving economic problems that Adygea faces. "We plan to learn from the South Tyrol the experience of development these two spheres tourism and agriculture; therefore, these issues have received particular attention," stated Vladimir Petrov, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic.

"We will work together, and we will be twin regions. We and Adygea have mutual interests, and we see great potential of the republic for development of tourism and agriculture. The republic has wonderful climate, geographical location, and the people themselves," Johann Berger said.
