Workers of Poti Port hold warning strike
The strike organized in the port of the city of Poti, Georgia, was attended by over 200 people. The action lasted for two hours and was a sort of a warning, the strikers said.
On October 25, the strikers' demands were the same: to improve the working conditions, observe the labour safety regulations, conclusion of labour agreements and a decent level of wages, Koka Sadjaya, the chairman of the trade union organization of the Poti Port, told the "Georgia Online".
Should the workers' demands remain unfulfilled, they plan to start a broad-scale strike on November 1, the "Echo of the Caucasus" Radio reports.
So far, no comments have been received from the administration of the Poti Port.
