Five convicts in Yegor Sviridov's murder case sent to serve sentences in Dagestan
Arthur Arsibiev, Khasan Ibragimov, Nariman Ismailov, Akai Akaev and Ramazan Utarbiev, the figurants in the murder case of the football fan of the "Spartak" FC Yegor Sviridov, sentenced to five years in prison each, have been delivered to the Correction Colony IK-7 situated in the village of Novy Tyube, Kumtorkalin District of Dagestan.
The transfer of the convicts to Dagestan took place in February and March 2012; however, the fact became known only recently. For most of them, the imprisonment will be over in August 2015.
"This was done in order to prevent any contacts of the newly convicted persons with people who had repeatedly committed crimes; to make their correction easier. Our colony just meets these requirements. My guess is that the sixth convict in this case – Aslan Cherkesov – serves his term away from the place of registration, because Kabardino-Balkaria has no facility for first offenders," said Amirkhan Gasanov, the spokesman of the Dagestani UFSIN (Department of the Russian Federal Correction Service).
The IK-7 can house 1050 inmates; it has workshops for production of paving slabs, slag blocks, and for sewing clothes and making footwear.
