Local resident, killed in Buinaksk, claimed being under surveillance, his acquaintances assert

Acquaintances of a local resident, killed tonight in Buinaksk, claim that he saw being under surveillance and that he feared persecution.

The message about the shelling of the Buinaksk resident was received today at 09:37 p.m. Moscow time to the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot". According to the author of the message, the attackers approached the working place of the victim in a white VAZ-2114 car. Prior to that, at 08:33 p.m., an SMS-message was also received, stating that "in Buinaksk, at his working place, a guy was killed, the attackers shot in his back and drove away."

The "Caucasian Knot" was told by an acquaintance of the killed man, who preferred to remain anonymous, his name was Khadjimurad, and he rented a vulcanization kiosk, located at the entrance to the city of Buinaksk.

"The witnesses of the incident told me that the unidentified persons entered the kiosk and shelled him from firearms. After the murder, they got into the car and drove away," said the acquaintance of the killed man.

According to the woman, the victim was a religious man. "Earlier, he complained that he feared persecution, and he felt that he was under surveillance. Shortly prior to the murder, Khadjimurad was invited to the police station, and on the same day he was released. He was not involved in anything criminal, and he was not registered at the police station," the woman says.

Officials from the unit on duty of the Buinaksk GOVD (City Interior Division) did not refute the information about the murder.
