In Zugdidi, building occupied by refugees is on fire
In the centre of Zugdidi, in the region of Samegrelo, a fire occurred at the building of the former district hospital, occupied by refugees. No victims have been reported.
According to unofficial information, the fire could be caused by harvesting operations, conducted by the refugees, the "Rustavi 2" reports. According to the second version, the fire could be caused by incorrect connection of electrical wiring.
In their turn, the refugees believe that the fire has originated not by chance, and they accuse the Company "Block Georgia", the owner of the building, of the incident. A guard of the building denies the allegation, the "Georgia Online" reports.
The first two families of refugees illegally occupied the building about two weeks ago, and then, other families joined them. Representatives of the Company "Block Georgia" demand that law enforcement agencies should evict the refugees out of the building in due time, the "News-Georgia" reports.
