On October 15-21, 7 persons fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

Last week, on October 15-21, 2012, at least 7 persons fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. Of these, 6 persons were killed and 1 wounded. These are the results of calculations of the "Caucasian Knot" based on own materials of the edition and information from other open sources.

In Ingushetia, one law enforcement officer was killed. 5 suspected members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) were killed, all of them in Dagestan. One power agents was wounded in Dagestan.

Detentions

On October 15, in the Sunzha District of the Chechen Republic, staff members of the Chechen police detained a 23-year-old local resident, suspected of rendering assistance to members of the armed underground. A check has been started against the detainee.

Kidnappings, disappearances of people

On October 17, in Makhachkala, the police unit on duty was contacted by Magomed Radjabov, a local resident, who filed a complaint about kidnapping of his son.

In Ingushetia, a 28-year-old Orts Almurziev disappeared. This was reported by his mother Raishat Kokurkhoeva. According to the woman, her son disappeared on October 18 after he left for work.

Raisat Nurukhalaeva, a resident of Makhachkala, tries to reveal whereabouts of her brother,  a staff member of the patrol-and-post service (PPS) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan, a student of the 5th year of the Legal Department of the Dagestan State University.

On October 16 and 18, two residents of Dagestan disappeared. This was reported by their relatives to the law enforcement agencies.

    In Novorossiysk, a court found Natalia Fedorenko, an advocate of blogger Vadim Kharchenko*, guilty of violating privacy and banned her from practicing law for two years. Natalia Fedorenko was also sentenced to community service.
