Women-prisoners of women's penal colony go on hunger strike in Georgia

In Georgia, 30 inmates of the penal colony No. 5 for women in the city of Rustavi, went on a hunger strike, demanding objective consideration of their cases by the Commission on early relief.

According to the prisoners, the state of health of several hunger-strikers is severe, the "Georgia-Online" reports with reference to the Kakheti Information Centre.

The participants of the protest action demand to hold extra-meeting of the Commission on early relief and objective consideration of their cases. Otherwise, the women are not going to stop the hunger strike, the "GHN" reports.

On October 15, it was reported on the hunger strike of inmates of the penitentiary institution No. 6 of the city of Rustavi, who demanded to deliver medicines without contraindications and to terminate physical pressure.
