In Krasnodar, Opposition Election Committee reports DDOS-attacks on its website
The Krasnodar Election Committee had faced problems with the website for election to the Opposition Coordination Council. The website suffered from two DDOS-attacks. This was reported by Leonid Malyavin, Chairman of the Committee.
The first attack on the website was committed at about 09:30 a.m. The Krasnodar Election Committee reported problems to the technical support service and in less than one hour access to the voting was restored.
"In the morning, several persons voted; however, at about 09:30 a.m., the problems occurred. It was still possible to visit the website; however, there were problems with voting," Leonid Malyavin has explained.
The second attack began at about 10:30 a.m. Moscow time. "A massive DDOS-attack has been committed, and the website in the Krasnodar Territory 'lies'," Leonid Malyavin stated.
Leonid Malyavin has also reported that 19 voters had been registered directly at the headquarters of the Regional Committee, located at the office of the Kuban Branch of the "Yabloko" Party.
Only one candidate Suren Gazaryan, an activist of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus", was nominated from the region
Elections to the Opposition Coordination Council are held on October 20-21.
