The staff of the channel chose a silent form of protest hoping that this wouldmake the management provide explanations. The hosts were announcing issues of the day, asking questions of the future of the channel but the reporters were keeping silence, IA "Novosti-Georgia" reports.

The journalists of "PIC" also spread a message calling to support broadcasting of a Russian-language TV channel in Georgia on social networks.

"Support "PIC" Channel (the First Informational Caucasian)! Several years of hard work, errors, hassles, victories and defeats, professional growth, a feeling of solidarity and a team behind everyone. Our work met an ambiguous response on both sides of the Caucasus Range because we spoke of the subjects others did not. We are a team of journalists, editors, producers, directors, script writers, operators and very many others. We speak of the past, show you the present and believe in the future of our country. Our fate is now at stake. Support "PIC" Channel", "Georgia Online" quotes the journalists' statement.

The problem of financing "PIC" TV channel is settled, Director General Alexander Parulava declared today.

According to him, the First Informational Caucasian will be functioning until the end of the year, "PIC" reports.
