CEC: "Georgian Dream" gets 83 seats in Parliament

The ratio of parliamentary seats between the coalition "Georgian Dream" and the "United National Movement" Party will be 83:67. This preliminary information on distribution of parliamentary seats was reported on October 6 by the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia.

On the basis of the preliminary information of the CEC, 44 deputies from the party lists of the coalition "Georgian Dream" will enter the parliament, and 33 deputies of the "United National Movement" Party. Other political alliances, which participated at elections, failed to overcome the established 5-percent barrier. The "Christian-Democrats" gained 2.05 percent, the Labour Party 1.24 percent, and the "New Right-Wing" 0.43 percent of the votes.

By majority lists, the coalition "Georgian Dream" gains parliamentary 39 seats, and the "United National Movement" Party 34 parliamentary seats, the "InterPressNews" reports on the released the CEC's information.

It should be taken into account that voting outcomes from several electoral precincts had been challenged and that the indicated figures may undergo minor changes, the "Echo of the Caucasus" reports.
