Georgian police suspect MP candidate from "Georgian Dream" of beating old man

Goderdzi Tkeshelavshili, a candidate for a position of the majoritarian MP from the coalition "Georgian Dream" in the Vani District, is suspected of beating an 85-year resident of the Vani District. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The incident, involving the candidate, occurred at about 8:00 p.m.

According to the police, together with the persons, unidentified by investigators, Goderdzi Tkeshelavshili inflicted physical abuse to 85-year-old resident of the Vani District, named Popkhadze, and to his son, the "Georgia Online" reports with reference to the official MIA's statement.

The ambulance was called for the victims, and the police instituted a criminal case on the incident, the "News Georgia" reports.
