Residents of Dugulubey, Kabardino-Balkaria, blocked the highway expressing dissatisfaction with the quality of roads in the settlement
On September, 24, residents of the settlement of Dugulubey, Baksan district of Kabardino-Balkaria, blocked the "Caucasus" federal highway in the direction from Nalchik to Pyatigorsk expressing protest against poor quality of the roads.
250 to 300 people took part in this spontaneous action of protest. They expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the community highway at the crossroads of Baksanov and Kokov streets in the settlement of Dugulubey.
Head of police of the Ministry of Interior Affairs in KBR Kazbek Tatuev and his deputies arrived at the scene of the action. Two hours later, as a result of an enlightening talk, traffic in the highway was reestablished and the protesters broke up, web-site of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Kabardino-Balkaria reports.
A source in law enforcement bodies of KBR informed that the residents of the settlement who blocked the highway expressed dissatisfaction with poor quality of the road which in their opinion considerably increased road accident rate, RIA "Novosti" reports pointing out that on September, 23, three cars collided in Baksanov street of Dugulubey and two persons perished as a result.
