Protest rally of CPRF held in Stavropol

Today, a rally was organized in Stavropol by the Territorial Committee of the CPRF: "No to housing and municipal terror!" The action was attended by over 200 people, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The protesters demanded to make an audit of budget expenditures allotted to upgrade municipal utilities. The rally was addressed by leaders of regional and district CPRF branches and labour veterans.

Besides, the protesters demanded to stop persecuting Vladimir Bessonov and Anatoly Lokot, the members of the CPRF faction in the State Duma.

On July 6, Bessonov was stripped of his parliamentary immunity, and a similar request in relation to Lokot was initiated by the MPs of the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) and the Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR).
