A Dagestani provider blocked access to Google services because of the film "Innocence of Muslims"

Internet provider "Optica-Telecom" in Dagestan blocked access to the web-sites of Google company. It was done upon instructions of supervising bodies given in the oral form. Internet operators were advised to block access to the web-sites where one could see the film "Innocence of Muslims", a source in the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Dagestan reported.

"These recommendations were received from Roskomnadzor, the Ministry of Justice and "K" Department of the Ministry of Interior Affairs in Dagestan. We were told to block access to YouTube site. For the reason of impossibility of blocking this web-site only we had to block access to all Google.com services", the operator explained.

"Airline" provider confirmed that they also got the same instructions. "Access to Google.com web-sites is still open but the experts are working at blocking it", a representative of the operator reported.

Dagestani providers were advised to limit access to the film "Innocence of Muslims", a source in the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Dagestan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
