"March of Millions" in Volgograd demands early elections of all branches of power

The protesters who took part in Volgograd in the protest action "March of Millions" demanded resignation of President Putin and Governor Bozhenov, city and regional MPs and new elections of all branches of power.

The "March of Millions" was held in Volgograd from Port Said Streets to Lenin Square. The organized column was 70 people strong, and in Lenin Square another hundred joined them. Let us remind you that in Volgograd the action within the all-Russian "March of Millions" was agreed with the authorities for the audience of 300 persons.

At 5:00 p.m., the column started its march from the mini-park; the participants chanted "Russia without Putin!", "Volgograd without Bozhenov!", "Down with autocracy!" "Russia for people!", "Down with the werewolves with epaulets!", "Down with the party of crooks and thieves!" "Liberty, equality, fraternity!" and "Down with censorship – give us the freedom of thought!"

The action of oppositional forces was also attended by anarchists and representatives of nationalists, "Left-Wing Front", "Yabloko" Party, "For Fair Elections" and other parties and groups. No activists of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) arrived to the "March of Millions".

Grandmothers who were sitting in the mini-park accompanied the march with unflattering words and remarks of the sort: "Where are you without Putin?" Children watched the event in amazement. The police videoed the march stopped the traffic to make way for the column.
