Azerbaijani soldier wounded in Karabakh conflict zone in July dies
Rabbi Elsever oglu Jafarov, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, who was wounded in July in the Karabakh conflict zone, has died in the hospital. Armenia denies any involvement in the incident, where the soldier was wounded.
The 19-year-old Rabbi Elsever oglu Jafarov received his bullet wound on July 13 in the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic in the direction of the Shakhbuz District. According to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan, the soldier was wounded by a sniper. With a grave wound in his head he was taken to the Central Clinical Hospital. In the evening on September 7 he died, the "AZE.az" reports.
Jafarov was called up for his military service by the Goygol district military office, the APA reports.
The MoD of Armenia has refuted the Azeri media about the involvement of armed forces of Armenia in the soldier's death.
"The Armenian party made no violation of the ceasefire, said Artsrun Ovannisyan, the MoD's press secretary in his comment on the death of Rabbi Elsever oglu Jafarov, the "News.am" reports.
