Law enforcers found 941 violations in schools of Krasnodar Territory: poor fire protection, no gyms and health centres
The Prosecutor's Office and the police have revealed a number of violations when checking the education establishments of Krasnodar Territory for their readiness for the new school year. Some schools fail to observe the fire safety regulations; they lack security video cameras, medical offices and gyms. The main problem is that many schools in the territory were built back in the Soviet era under different construction standards.
On the results of the check for the readiness of educational institutions to receive children, their fire and terrorism protection, a total of 672 letters of information and prescriptions were sent to top managers of schools and administrations, as well as to municipal antiterrorist commissions. After that, the drawbacks were eliminated in 194 schools, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the press service of the Chief Department of the Russian MIA for the Krasnodar Territory.
In the course of the checks, territorial prosecutors revealed 941 violations; 257 presentations were made demanding to eliminate them; 79 administrative cases were initiated; and 121 claims have been sent to the courts against the idleness of school leaders, said Ekaterina Lazareva, the press secretary of the Krasnodar Territorial Prosecutor's Office.
"The revealed violations do not create direct threats to lives and health of minors," Oleg Lobanov, the head of the division in charge of supervising the enforcement of laws on minors and young people of the Krasnodar Territorial Prosecutor's Office, has explained. "However, they may lead to more disastrous consequences; for example, in the event of a fire. Anyway, these violations are considered significant and require urgent elimination."
