Casualties of special operation identified in Dagestan

The two suspected militants, killed in the village Leninket in Dagestan, were identified as Said Kurbanov and Magomed Tamuraev; a young pregnant woman was released from the house where the militants were hiding, the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) reports.

In the morning, law enforcers blocked a private household in Leninkent, where, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), one of the alleged members of the armed underground, who was on federal wanted list, was hiding. The counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was announced in Leninkent.

According to a source from the NAC, the men who were in the house refused to surrender and opened fire on the policemen. "Two persons were liquidated by the return fire," said the source. According to his story, there were no casualties and victims among power agents and local residents.

In one of the rooms of the house, special agents found a woman – Luiza Adaeva, the wife of the killed Said Kurbanov. According to her story, at night on August 31, her husband Said Kurbanov brought an unknown man home and locked her in the room. After the start of the special operation, she asked her husband to let her out, but he refused.

"At the scene of the incident we found a submachine gun, a pistol, grenades and ammunition," said the source.
