50 sick children are still in medical unit of "Orlyonok" camp near Tuapse

55 affected children have been discharged from the hospital unit of the all-Russian children's centre "Orlyonok"; but 50 more children-tourists continue their treatment, said Valery Klindukhov, the head of the "Rospotrebnadzor" of the Krasnodar Territory.

"Right now, 50 kids are still hospitalized; 55 others have been discharged," he said and added that all the children are being treated in the hospital unit of the "Orlyonok"; nobody was taken to specialized children's health facilities, as in most of them the disease has a light form, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

The final diagnosis has not been formulated. "Preliminarily, it's ARD (acute respiratory disease) with intestinal syndrome; they all have the same clinical picture," said the head of the territorial "Rospotrebnadzor".

Experts are inclined to believe that the agent of the disease had spread over the camp from the catering unit, the "Interfax" reports.
