Koblev: ECtHR to consider complaint of Zhamborov's advocates in priority order

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has upheld the appeal of the advocates of Vladimir Zhamborov, an official from Kabardino-Balkaria, who asked to consider their complaint about the need for action to stop violations committed against him, and release him from custody, in the priority order, said Ruslan Koblev, one of Zhamborov's advocates.

According to Vladimir Zhamborov's representatives, the ECtHR should urgently intervene, as any further extension of his custody increases the risk of his death.

"If investigators find it possible to keep a person in this health condition in custody, then we, at least, understand that there is no reason to debate his release with the investigation – this situation is just absurd. Our client is just unable to take part in their investigatory actions, and they made sure of it. Moreover, there is no more investigation as such," Ruslan Koblev said earlier.
