In Astrakhan, oppositionist handcuffs himself to police building in support of "Pussy Riot"

Ilya Gachegov from St Petersburg, a participant of the motor rally "White Stream" has handcuffed himself to the building of the MIA Department for the Astrakhan Region in support of the convicted performers of the punk prayer from the "Pussy Riot" group at Christ the Saviour Cathedral.

According to law enforcers, a few minutes after Gachegov handcuffed himself, the on duty policemen, who were guarding the building, approached the young man and asked him to unclip.

Gachegov obeyed and was taken to the department for explaining the reason for his action, the edition named "Point A" reports.

According to the press service of the above MIA Department, Ilya Gachegov, a participant of the motor rally from St Petersburg, wanted to hold an action in support of the "Pussy Riot". "When he was taken to the police station for interview, he began using obscene language – now, under Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code he will face trial," the "Interfax" quotes a source from the local MIA.

So far, no comments have arrived from Gachegov or his representatives regarding this information and the charges against him.
