In Rostov Region, judges receive letters with threats

In the Rostov Region, the fact of distribution of letters containing threats against court officials and their family members is being checked. This was reported by the Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) in the Rostov Region.

According to the ICRF, in August 2012, several District Courts of the city of Rostov-on-Don and the Rostov Region received via e-mail a letter of the "Regional Office of Committee on Crimes against Russian People in Southern Federal District". The authors of the letter threaten court officials and their family members.

On the above fact, the preliminary examination and activities, aimed to identify persons, who have produced and distributed the above letters, is underway, the website of the Investigatory Department of the ICRF in the Rostov Region reports.
