Advocate of figurant in "Domodedovo" terror act case declares his client's innocence and demands open trial
Advocates of two defendants in the case of the terror act at the "Domodedovo" Airport, which was began on 20 August at the Moscow Regional Court, intend to appeal against the decision of the court to hold a closed trial. According to Vladimir Kocharyan, his client Ilez Yandiev is innocent of the incriminated crimes.
The session of the Moscow Regional Court was attended by two lawyers – Vladimir Kocharyan, the advocate of Ilez Yandiev and Tatiana Okushko, the advocate of Bashir Khamkhoev.
As reported by Tatiana Okushko, the judge issued a decision on the appointment of the next hearing on September 27 and to extend the defendants' custody by six months.
The lawyer Vladimir Kocharyan said that the next hearing was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on August 27, and the case will be considered by a panel of three judges.
Both Okushko and Kocharyan are dissatisfied with the closed trial. "We're going to appeal against this decision," said Okushko.
