Prudnikov, organizer of "Pussy Riot" support, arrested for 10 days in Novocherkassk

Oleg Prudnikov, the organizer of the rally in support of the "Pussy Riot" group, who was detained on August 16, was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest on charges of disorderly conduct. He explains the verdict by his active oppositional activities.

"I was detained on August 16, and after drawing up a protocol on disorderly conduct and for allegedly using coarse language in a public place was taken to the magistrate court of Novocherkassk. There, a woman-judge sentenced me to ten days of administrative arrest," Oleg Prudnikov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by phone.

According to his story, on August 17, he wrote, "an appeal against this decision, and I was brought to the federal court." "In answer to my request for an advocate, the judge that in administrative cases it is not necessary and denied my motion. Naturally, she also dismissed my complaint," he explained.

He believes that the verdict was an attempt to prevent the rally in support of the "Pussy Riot".
