On August 16, the verdict to Roman Gubarev, convicted by the Stavropol Regional Court for the murder of 8 persons in Stavropol, entered into legal force. This was reported by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.

On April 26, in Stavropol, Roman Gubarev was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of one million roubles. At that time, the lawyer Vladimir Naiko reported that at the courtroom, Roman Gubarev refused his final speech, finding "no sense in that", since "at the trial, nobody granted or considered all his statements." In accordance with the position of the representative of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, the verdict to him was left unchanged and entered into legal force, the statement on the website of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation reports.
