North Ossetia: kindergarten cook, where 14 children got poisoned, fined by court

Rita Zoloeva, the cook of the kindergarten "Ivushka" (Willow) in the Kirov District of North Ossetia, was found guilty of violation of the sanitary and epidemiological rules, which negligently caused the mass poisoning of children in April. The court sentenced her to a fine of 5000 roubles.

In the course of the investigation, it was revealed that on April 4, 2012, Rita Zoloeva on her own initiative gave for breakfast the children of the kindergarten cheese, made by her, which was not approved by the head of the pre-school institution for the menu for food presentation. Later, it turned out that cheese contained coli germ.

That fact led to a mass poisoning of 14 children, and 11 of them were hospitalized with a diagnosis of acute gastritis, "intoxication syndrome", one more child was brought to the Children's Republic's Clinical Hospital of Vladikavkaz with a diagnosis of "intestinal infection".

According to a representative of the prosecutor's office, at the court session, the defendant admitted her guilt and repented of her act. Taking into account the circumstances of the committed crime and the information, describing the defendant, the court sentenced her to a penalty in the form of a fine.
