Court decides to conduct comprehensive examination of Rasul Mirzaev's case
At today's court session on the case against athlete Rasul Mirzaev, after whose blow Ivan Agafonov, a resident of Moscow, died, Judge Andrei Fedin pronounced the decision to conduct a new comprehensive examination.
Today, the court listened to expert Sergey Leonov, who stated that Rasul Mirzaev's blow was not tough. His interrogation lasted more than two hours. As a result, the Judge left to make a decision to conduct a new examination, since the interrogation of the expert proved inconsistency of the Kapustin's system, which was used earlier.
The case against Rasul Mirzaev will include the examination, conducted at the FBTS under the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.
The conflict between Rasul Mirzaev and Ivan Agafonov took place on August 13, 2011, in the centre of Moscow near the night club "Garage". In the course of the quarrel, the athlete hit Ivan Agafonov, after that the latter was taken to hospital, where he died on August 18, 2011. Rasul Mirzaev has been kept in custody since August 2011.
