Body of man, killed near mosque in Dagestan, taken away by attackers, eyewitness asserts

The body of a young man, who was killed at the exit from "the East Mosque" in Khasavyurt, was taken and driven away to some unknown destination by attackers, who shot and killed him. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by an eyewitness of the incident.

A report that in Khasavyurt unidentified men in military uniform and masks shot and killed a young man, who came out from the mosque, was received today at 7:34 p.m., by the SMS service of the "Caucasian Knot".

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the eyewitness of the incident that the man came out from the mosque and when he came to the road, he was confronted by two cars.

"An armoured Gazel car stood before him, and a Priora car stood behind him. 6-7 persons in camouflage and masks jumped out from both cars. The man wanted to escape; however, they began to shoot to him. He also shot in return; however, he was killed. Those men in masks took his body with them, and they also collected all the shells," said a resident of Khasavyurt, who preferred to remain anonymous.

Another eyewitness of the incident stated that the killed man worked earlier as a security guard of Saigidpashi Umakhanov, Mayor of Khasavyurt. Till present, the name of the killed man is unknown. The FSB Department and the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have noted that they still have no information about the incident.
