Stavropol Territory authorities and "Resorts of Northern Caucasus" agree on inclusion of "Grand Spa Yutsa" in tourism cluster project
The authorities of the Stavropol Territory and the leaders of the Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) "Resorts of Northern Caucasus" agreed on the inclusion of the special economic zone (SEZ) of tourism and recreational type "Grand Spa Yutsa" in the Stavropol Territory in the tourism cluster in the southern Russia.
The project of the SEZ "Grand Spa Yutsa" is located in the very centre of the Kavkazskie Mineralnye Vody (Caucasian Mineral Waters) Region at the foot of the mountain Yutsa, about 10 km from the city of Pyatigorsk and 35 km from the airport of the city of Mineralnye Vody. In August 2011, the authorities of the Stavropol Territory proposed to include the SEZ "Grand Spa Yutsa" in the North-Caucasian tourism cluster.
Inclusion in the project of tourism cluster of the territory of the Stavropol Territory SEZ, which includes the cities of Yessentuki, Zheleznovodsk, Kislovodsk, Lermontov, Pyatigorsk, and two municipal districts Mineralovodsky and Predgorny, will seriously increase the attractiveness of the resorts in the southern Russia for tourists due to expansion of recreational proposal, the OJSC "Resorts of Northern Caucasus" reports.
"More than 130 sources of mineral water are discovered in the territory of the region, and the very territory includes the famous Tambukanskoe Lake with its unique curative mud that is, the nature created the most favourable conditions for development of balneological tourism. There are no analogues in Europe and in the entire world, both by the area, occupied by the resorts, and by the unique healing properties of local resources," the ITAR-TASS quotes Akhmed Bilalov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the OJSC "Resorts of Northern Caucasus" as saying.
