Nagorno-Karabakh accuses Azerbaijan of shelling positions at contact line
During the week of August 4-11, at the Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line, the latter broke the ceasefire for more than 200 times. The armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh refrained to respond, said the spokesman of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army (NKDA).
According to the Azeri party, on August 10 and 11, the fire was delivered from the positions deployed in the village of Voskevan, Noyemberyan District of Armenia.
In his turn, an NKDA official has blamed Azerbaijan for the incident. According to the operative data of the NKDA, in total during the week the Azerbaijani party made more than 1200 shots from small arms of various calibres at the Karabakh positions, the "Panarmenian" writes.
The "News of Armenia" adds with reference to the NKDA officials that the latter's armed units, while observing the ceasefire regime, refrained from firing in response, keeping only the on duty regime all along the contact line.
