In Armenia, new suspects appear in case on beating military doctors

The Armenian police received evidence that the fight at the "Harsnaqar" Restaurant in Yerevan, as a result of which military doctor Vage Avetyan perished, involved other participants, apart from 6 arrested persons. The journalists were informed about that by Arsen Aivazyan, the representative of the Police of Armenia.

"The investigation concerning the unidentified persons is still underway; appropriate investigatory and operative and search measures are being undertaken," said Arsen Aivazyan, the head of the Second Division on investigation into particularly important cases of the Chief Investigatory Department of the Police of Armenia.

According to Arsen Aivazyan, investigators have already collected necessary evidences to prepare the indictment against 6 persons, arrested on the case, including the staff members of the restaurant, including security officers: Garik Margaryan, Norair Airapetyan, Arman Khachatryan, Arman Bagdasaryan, Arthur Babloyan, and David Adamyan.

In this regard, on August 8, the Chief Investigatory Department of the Police decided to separate from the main part of the criminal case the part, related to the above mentioned citizens. In that part, the preliminary investigation has been already completed. The second part of the criminal case requires further investigation into the incident, which occurred on June 17 at the "Harsnaqar" Restaurant, relating to the other persons, who participated in the fight.
