120 children from Syria arrive in Armenia
Today, the "Armavia" Airline carried out a special flight "Yerevan-Damascus-Yerevan" to transport children of Syrian Armenians to Armenia. This flight brought 120 children, who were met by Granush Akopyan, Minister of Diaspora of Armenia, Syrian Ambassador to Armenia, and by their relatives.
The "Armavia" Airline carried out a transportation of the first group of children of Syrian Armenians to Armenia. According to the government decision, the national carrier of Armenia will conduct two more flights to Syria, particularly, to the city of Aleppo to transport about 300 children.
According to the Ministry of Diaspora of Armenia, the children, who arrived from Syria, will spend their holidays in the children's camp "Lusabats" in the village of Ankavan.
Let us remind you that the Armenian Diaspora faces the difficult situation because of the armed clashes in Syria.
