Persons, killed during special operation in Kabardino-Balkaria, identified
Militants, killed during the armed clash in the outskirts of Nalchik, are identified; they were Gusei Guziev and Yuri Akhkubekov, residents of the village of Khasanya. This was reported by law enforcement agencies.
In the evening of August 6, in a wooded area near the village of Khasanya on the outskirts of Nalchik, power agents stumbled up a group of members of the armed underground, and a clash occurred. In the course of the special operation, held near the village of Gerpegezh of the Cherek District, two militants were killed. This was reported by a representative of the investigatory agencies.
"The militants are identified. They are residents of the village of Khasanya, one of whom is in the list of missing persons starting from the April 2012," reports the statement on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
According to the preliminary information, the killed persons are Gusei Guziev, born in 1984, and Yuri Akhkubekov, born in 1983, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).
No civilians or power agents suffered. Operational and search activities and investigatory measures are underway.
