Wrestler Revaz Lashkhi wins for Georgia second medal at London Olympics

On August 6, Revaz Lashkhi, a wrestler of Greco-Roman style from Georgia in the weight category of up to 60 kg, managed to enter the final of the London Olympic Games; however, in the final, he was defeated in the competition for the gold medal. At present, the Georgian athletes have two medals at the London Olympic Games.

In the quarterfinals, Revaz Lashkhi has defeated Zaur Kuramagomedov, a Russian athlete from Kabardino-Balkaria, with the scores of 0:2 and 0:1, the "RBC" reports.

However, in the final, the Georgian athlete has failed to defeat Omid Khaji Norouz, an Iranian athlete, who won the gold medal.

Today, five other Georgian athletes will compete for medals at the Olympic venues in London, the Radio Station "Ekho Kavkaza" (Echo of the Caucasus) reports.
