Series of pickets "Tkachov, go!" held in Moscow at Permanent Mission of Krasnodar Territory

On Friday, August 3, activists of the "Yabloko" Party held a series of pickets at the Permanent Mission of the Krasnodar Territory in Moscow, demanding resignation of the governor Alexander Tkachov.

For several hours the participants of the action, taking turns, kept standing on the sidewalk in front of the fence surrounding the Permanent Mission of the Krasnodar Territory in Moscow, holding a poster "Tkachov, go!" and symbols of their party.

The action took place without incidents. About an hour after the start of picketing, the "Yabloko" activists were approached by the police, who asked for how long the action would continue; after making several calls they left. Nobody from the Mission came out to the picketers.

Among the reasons, which "Yabloko" activists find sufficient for governor's resignation, is the tragedy in Krymsk, where the flood killed more than a hundred persons and destroyed about two thousand houses. Besides, the party activists remind about unsolved social and environmental problems of the territory – unauthorized, in their view, capture of the lands of the forest fund and persecution of ecologists.
