Kadyrov criticized Evkurov's tactics against militants

The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov voiced out criticism of the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov. In his comment on the special operation conducted in the Ingush village of Galashki, he has treated the activities of the authorities of Ingushetia against terrorism as insufficient. Kadyrov's statement followed the Evkurov's one that Chechen power forces had not carried out any operations in Galashki.

On July 29, at 10:40 p.m., in a private house at the entrance to Galashki, an explosion occurred. Two persons died; and one was wounded and hospitalized. Those perished were militants; and the explosion was caused by a bomb detonation, Yunus-Bek Evkurov said on July 31. On August 1, Ramzan Kadyrov announced, in his turn, that on July 29 Chechen security forces conducted a special operation in Galashki, during which organizers of the attack on August 29, 2010, on the Chechen village of Tsentoroi were killed.

The immediate pretext for Kadyrov's criticism addressed to Evkurov was in the latter's words that Chechen power agents had nothing to do with the operation in Galashki.

"No special operation was conducted by Chechen security forces in Ingushetia. We received operative information that the Ingush villages located near the administrative border with Chechnya are constantly visited by bandits from the adjacent territory. We knew that they plan to commit a series of resonant terror acts. According to our knowledge, a self-explosion happened, which killed two and wounded one of them," the official website of the Republic of Ingushetia posted on August 2 Evkurov's comment to the "Interfax".

According to Evkurov, all the casualties had been earlier put on the search list by the MIA of the Chechen Republic; therefore, the two bodies and one wounded militant were transferred to law enforcement bodies of Chechnya.

The head of Chechnya said in his comment on Evkurov's words that Chechen power bodies conducted a special operation in Galashki, not a "spontaneous explosion", and killed Zaurbek Avdorkhanov, Ibragim Avdorkhanov and Ayub Khaladov.

Mr Kadyrov also said that he could not allow members of the underground to reside unpunished in the border area, make intrusions into Chechnya, which result in human losses; and then again, by his definition, "hole up in Ingushetia."

"If Evkurov fails to establish order there, we'll do it; moreover, his special interest to do it is not felt. Otherwise, how can we explain Evkurov's words that he doesn't treat terrorists as bandits? Allegedly, they are just misguided young persons. For us they are bandits, terrorists, shaitans, enemies of the Chechen and Ingush peoples and enemies of Russia," said Kadyrov.

"We must fight militants mercilessly; thus, Ramzan Kadyrov has his methods; and I have my own methods," Evkurov has commented on Kadyrov's criticism.
