Group of orphans from Chechnya sent for holidays to Kabardino-Balkaria

More than 20 children, whose parents disappeared during the war in the territory of Chechen Republic, were sent to spend their holidays in the sanatorium of the city of Nalchik. Another group of orphaned children from Chechnya will rest there in September.

"On July 31, a group of children, whose parents disappeared during the war, were sent from Grozny to the three-week holiday in the sanatorium 'Dolinsk' in the city of Nalchik. The children will spend three weeks in the sanatorium, and after that, the second group of teenagers will be sent there. The trips were organized by the Centre of youth and children's public organizations 'Perspective'," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by an official of the ministry.

"In our republic, the organization of children's holidays is, in general, not bad; however, for some reason, always mainly children of officials and big bosses are sent to the best sanatoria and resorts. It would be correct if the authorities would send orphans, like their own children, to rest abroad. Although the very fact that children can relax a bit mentally and physically cannot fail to please us," said Satsita N., a resident of Grozny, on that occasion.

According to Zareta A., another local resident, several weeks ago, her children rested in the sanatorium of Nalchik and they were happy with all things. "Last year, they went to a sanatorium in Dagestan, on the Caspian Sea; however, the conditions and food were not very good there," said the woman.
