Dagestani native Tagir Khaibulaev wins Russia's third gold medal at London Olympics

Tagir Khaibulaev, judoka of the Russian national team, a native of Dagestan, became Champion of the London Olympic Games in the weight category of up to 100 kg.

In the final, Tagir Khaibulaev, who represented the cities of Samara and Saint Petersburg, defeated Mongol citizen Naidan Tuvshinbayar, Champion of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in that weight category.

Tagir Khaibulaev won a clear victory (ippon), the "Interfax" reports.

All three top awards, won by the Russians till present, were won by judokas.

Besides, for the first time in the nation's judo history, Russia won three gold medals at one Olympic Games, the "Sovietsky Sport" (Soviet Sport) reports.
