12 injured in school bus crash in Georgia
12 persons were injured in a crash of a minibus in the high-mountain village of Barisakho of the Dusheti District in eastern Georgia, which fell into a ravine 60 meters deep. This was reported by Givi Amirkhanashvili, Deputy Governor of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region.
The road traffic accident occurred at night on August 1 near the village of Khakhmati. Schoolchildren were returning from a trip from Shatili.
"Appropriate services were immediately mobilized at the place. Border Guard Service was engaged in rendering assistance, and border guards helped to evacuate victims," the "News-Georgia" quotes Givi Amirkhanashvili as saying.
It was a set of circumstances that no one perished. People were delivered to the hospital of Dusheti and clinics of Tbilisi. Two of the injured persons are in serious condition, and the condition of the other victims are stable, the "Trend" reports.
At the moment, the police reveal the cause of the road traffic accident, the MTRK "Mir" (the CIS TV Channel), reports.
