In Astrakhan, about 15 persons attend action in support of "Strategy-31"

On July 31, about 15 residents of Astrakhan gathered near the monument "For Fighters for Soviet Power" in Bratsky Park to attend the picket in support of Article 31 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The action was held peacefully, without clashes with the police.

Arsen Aglamasov, a participant of the picket in Astrakhan, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he came to the action for the second time.

"I believe that the right to attend free assemblies without arms is stipulated by the Constitution," Arsen Aglamasov said. Therefore, according to him, people should speak out in support of Article 31, which guarantees that.

Svetlana, a resident of the Rostov Region, who was in Astrakhan on visit, explained her presence by the fact that "the recent adoption of laws made the need to protect the Article of the Constitution particularly urgent."

Lu Mursalimova, a participant of the action, has explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that this year she became a person of majority age and at present she has the full right to participate in all political events in the country.

"I took part in election, held in March 2012, and I saw how unfair they were held in Astrakhan, how people were forbidden to gather during the hunger strike, I realized that we cannot tolerate that," the girl has concluded.

Till present, no comments from the city authorities on statements of the participants of the action are available.
