Advisor to Syrian Ambassador in Armenia completes his diplomatic mission

Muhammad Hafezi (Havez), Advisor on Consular Affairs of the Embassy, has completed his diplomatic mission in Armenia. This was reported by the Embassy of Syria in Armenia. The Spokesperson of the press service of the Embassy assumed that Muhammad Hafezi has joined the opposition.

On July 30, Muhammad Hafezi did not appear at his working place in the Embassy.

''This gives grounds to assume that the information about his joining the oppositionists, disseminated by the Arab media, is correct,'' said the Spokesperson of the Embassy of Syria in Armenia.

The Syrian diplomat, accredited in Armenia, followed the lead of his counterparts, Syrian diplomats, accredited in Belarus, the UAE, Iraq and Cyprus, who declared their joining the opposition.

Tigran Balayan, Spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), confirmed the information about completion of the mission of Advisor Muhammad Hafezi.
