Karachai-Circassia sees high demand for winter rest in Dombai and Arkhyz

Tourism was on decline in mid-season in Karachai-Circassia; however, demand for winter rest in Dombai and Arkhyz is already noticeable. Kazim Uzdenov, director general of the "Everest" travel company, told about it in his conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"This year, preliminary demand for excursions to Dombai and Arkhyz is weaker than it was last year. So far, tours to Italy, Spain, Czechia and France are more popular than resorts of Karachai-Circassia," said the expert.
In spite of rather high hotel rates, preliminary requests for the 2009-2010 winter season already arrive.

"I can't say that prices this year are much higher than in the last season, by 5-7 percent in the most," said Mr Uzdenov and added that travel agencies and specialists are trying to develop new tourist routes and offer something new and interesting to tourists; however, in practice, Karachai-Circassia lacks a popular work layout in this sphere.
