Dagestan: explosion of gas pipeline in Khasavyurt

In the city of Khasavyurt, Dagestan, after the explosion that happened at 9:45 p.m. Moscow time on Friday, October 9, on the city gas pipeline, gas supply to the nearby settlements was stopped.

"There was an explosion in the area of the gate of low-pressure pipe of the city gas network. The fire was extinguished, but gas supply to the suburban settlement of Kandaur-Aul was stopped," the law enforcement bodies of the city report.

The place of the explosion is now studied by an operative-investigatory group of the city and district interior departments; the situation is clarified, as the "Interfax" reports. Two versions are considered - a gas leakage and a mine, as the "Lenta.ru" writes.
