Karachai-Circassia: electricians come to polling stations to replace bulbs

In the city of Karachaevsk, 20 minutes after closure of polling stations, messages from observers started to arrive that electricians suggested replacing illumination devices in the premises.

The observers said, in particular, that a car with electricians arrived to the polling station in School No. 4; they said that they were called for replacing bulbs. Besides, they tried to get into the room, where the voting was held; however, facing the observers' protest, they stopped attempting.

When the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent called the city electric networks of Karachaevsk, dispatcher Anatoly Azarenko confirmed that indeed the car had left; however, he assured that the call was for replacing street illumination; and he knew nothing about the electricians' attempts to get into the premises.

On preliminary data of the territorial electoral commission, the voter turnout in Karachaevsk was 63 percent.

Let us note here that violations also were marked during voting. Observers have informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that there were no serious excesses at the stations; however, small violations were registered practically in all of them
