Relatives of missing Makhachkala resident assert that he was shadowed

Zhanna Shamsudinova, the wife of Magomed Sheikhov, a resident of Makhachkala, who disappeared on September 9 under strange circumstances, said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that her husband had been thoroughly shadowed by unidentified persons for a long time.

According to Ms Shamsudinova, Magomed disappeared on September 9. "Before, we were shadowed for a long time. If a person prays a lot, it's already though as something abnormal. We were studying the Koran; we did nothing bad, we just prayed. We were shadowed. I don't know who has organized it. From morning till night we were watched from foreign-made cars. When I went anywhere, I looked back and I saw those cars," Magomed Sheikhov's wife said.

According to Zhanna, initially Magomed's family did not address to law enforcement bodies. Only yesterday, on September 11, she filed applications about disappearance of her husband "to all possible bodies", but she has received no answer yet. When Zhanna was telephoning to all on duty militia stations in search of her husband, they told her that he was not kept anywhere.

According to her story, Magomed did not support any "branches" of Islam and never took part in political life. Relatives, friends and neighbours of Magomed cannot find any explanation of why he could disappear.
