Abdurakhmanov: human rights activists who want Kadyrov to resign work off Western grants

The actions of the human rights activists who demand dismissal of Ramzan Kadyrov from the post of Chechen president after the murder of Natalia Estemirova, employee of "Memorial" human rights center, meet geopolitical interests of the West. This has been stated by Dukvakha Abdurakhmanov, chair of Chechen parliament.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported earlier that a group of Russian human rights activists addressed RF President Dmitri Medvedev with a request to form a special RF prosecution office investigation group for investigating the murder of Natalia Estemirova and to dismiss Ramzan Kadyrov from the post of Chechen leader for the time of the investigation.

"Their (human rights activists' - "Caucasian Knot") actions not only demonstrate hostility to the country in which they live freely, but also fully meet the geopolitical interests of the West and are in line with logics and common sense since because they are financed by Western grants", runs the statement of Chechen parliament leader.

According to Abdurakhmanov, the human rights activists' address "is void of any logic or common sense", just like the statement by Oleg Orlov, chair of the HRC "Memorial" Council.
