Yamadaev brothers will be forced to Chechnya for interrogation

Brothers Isa and Musa of Sulim Yamadaev, former commander of the "Vostok" special battalion, will be brought by force, under respective court statements, to the city of Gudermes for interrogation under the case about disappearance in 2004 of soldier Alikhan Khaladov.

As reported today by the official spokesman of the Investigatory Division for Chechnya of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of the Russian Federation, the inspector of the Gudermes Investigatory Division in charge of investigating Khaladov's disappearance "has passed two statements on reconduction of Isa and Musa Yamadaev for interrogation and other investigatory actions."

According to the source, the reconduction statement on Isa Yamadaev was sent to the commander of the 42nd Motorized Rifle Division, where Isa is a serviceman, as the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.

The above spokesman reported on June 8 that on June 3 Isa and Musa were summoned to confrontment with former militaries of the "Vostok" battalion to the city of Mozdok, the capital of North Ossetia; however, the confrontment failed for non-appearance of Isa Yamadaev. The repeated action appointed on June 8 was ignored both by Musa and Isa.

According to the source, one day before the first confrontment Isa Yamadaev telephoned the inspector and said that he would not appear as he was afraid for his safety. Earlier in Moscow, Isa and Musa were interrogated by an inspector of the Chechen Prosecutor's Office.
