Saakashvili: UN Secretary General's report was made under Russia's influence

President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili has stated that the report presented by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon in May at the UN Security Council was drafted under the influence of Russia.

"At their last meeting in Geneva Russia made a deal with the UN Secretariat; and they prepared a report where Abkhazia, at least in the heading, wasn't mentioned as a part of Georgia," said Mr Saakashvili.

President of Georgia has emphasized that the country has firmly reacted and refused to "swallow" withdrawal of the words "Abkhazia, Georgia" from the title of the latest Report of UN Secretary General on Abkhazia. According to Mikhail Saakashvili, he "personally called several bosses in US Administration," as reported by the "Georgia Online".

President Saakashvili also accused the UN mission in Georgia of leaving Georgian people face to face with Russian troops armies in August 2008 war. "Last year I saw the UN mission, when our troops were already in the forest, and Russian tanks approached the bridge over Inguri River that separates Georgia from Abkhazia. I saw how the UN mission disappeared from there in ten minutes," the "Gazeta.Ru" quotes Mr Saakashvili as saying.
