Ingushetia: 15 persons with sub-machine detained in special operation

In the Nazran District of Ingushetia, 15 persons with sub-machine guns and pistols were detained, as reported by Kaloy Akhilgov, press secretary of Ingushetian President.

"Today, at about 6:20 a.m. Moscow time, between the villages of Surkhakhi and Yandare, employees of the Republic's MIA and FSB detained, in the course of the raid, 15 persons with sub-machine guns and pistols," said Mr Akhilgov.

Alexei Vorobyov, Secretary of the Security Council of Ingushetia, said that the group of 15 armed persons detained today in the Nazran District proved to be a group of militants. According to the ITAR-TASS with reference to law enforcement bodies, the group consists of residents of Ingushetia.

Now, the issue is considered of opening a criminal case. Sources from the MIA have noted that the grouping was detained in the course of a special operation, as reported by the "Echo Moskvy" Radio.
