In Azerbaijan, journalist Fatullaev is still in dungeon

Einullah Fatullaev, editor-in-chief of the "Real Azerbaijan" newspaper, will remain in prison's dungeon till April 20. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learnt about it from human rights activist Elchin Bekhbudov.

According to his story, Fatullaev was placed into dungeon on April 10 allegedly for violating the internal discipline regulations and kindling a scandal among inmates. Moreover, already in dungeon, Fatullaev was reprimanded for talking loudly at night and disturbed other prisoners.

However, Isakhan Ashurov, the journalist's advocate, has stated that the real reason of Fatullaev's placement into dungeon was his protest against poor quality nutrition. And the reprimand was announced after he had sung the "International".
